Artificial insemination is regarded as one of the latest modern therapeutic methods that most married couples resort to as a solution to treat temporary infertility and poor fertility.

These methods have various forms and involve various procedures.

The married couple’s permission for the doctor to apply this novel medical technique needs to be subjected to Shari’a examination, as it relates to a concept of seminal importance for the purposes of Shari’a, which is the concept of saving the offspring.

This research talks about medical permission for artificial insemination as viewed from the perspectives of Shari’a and the UAE law.

It illustrates the meaning of medical permission, its basics and the conditions of its permissibility.

Afterwards, it examines the issue of artificial insemination, its nature, legitimacy and the Islamic ruling on its permissibility in comparison with UAE law.

The research uses the inductive, analytical and comparative approach with to clarify the issue of medical permission and its impact on artificial insemination.

The researcher then concludes that both forms of artificial insemination are permissible.

She also draws on the points of agreement and disagreement between Shari’a and the UAE law regarding the issues discussed in the paper.

Finally, the researcher recommends high accuracy, honesty and awareness of the vigilance of Allah for all those who work in fertilization centers.

She also recommends that jurists give more attention to the study of medical laws.
