When man lived in the mountains' caves, he had curiosity to know the surroundings.

So he began to engrave and paint different pictures for animals and human beings on the caves' walls.

He developed later to know and use the pieces of stone , an then, he knew how to make a large building on stones which include housing units for different purposes and that could be called the mountain's building.

That building related to man's life and death and included the events of his period in later stages.

After knowing the writing accompanied by cameos of subjects that were prominent on the wall, some complexes became a cornerstone of civilization that recorded the events of their period on the stones in the mountain.

For this reason, this research is made under the title" Sculpting in the mountain....alive sculpting on stones- selected samples".

It consisted of four chapters.

The first is about the general frame of the paper which includes the paper's problem, it's importance, goals, limits, and the need for it.

The whole expressions and phrases used in the title are identified in the first chapter.

The second chapter includes the knowing frame of the research which explains two subjects.

The first is to highlight the civilized cornerstones which know such achievement of artistic works while the second is about the mountain's building.

The third chapter explain the research procedures including selected samples in more than one kind of civilization.

The mountain environment in which people live is the core of that civilization.

So the population of that environment achieve such kind of artistic works.

y- The sculpting on stones inside mountains had an advertising side to explain the nature and thoughts of each civilization in that stage.

Some subjects are accompanied by written scripts, in it's cuneiform letters, and formed a read advertisement for the pictured event.

V- Some of the works of the sculpting on stones inside mountains explain the work of more than one civilization and show the artistic formation which is considered as artistic and thoughtful references.

The sculptor at that time made an intermixture between what changes appeared and what is local from his environment.

i- The mountain is mentioned in the holly Quran more than once as taking the mountain as a safe place to live and worship in.
