The study aims at identifying the causal and long term equilibrium relationship between the international prices of gold and crude oil during the period 1990-2016,using the granger’s causality test as it concluded that global crude oil prices are causing global gold prices,while global gold prices are not causing crude oil prices.which concluded that the world crude oil prices cause world gold prices and vice versa.

Also tried to measure the volatility of both prices Global crude oil and gold on government spending in Algeria, using the method of lower squares normal, the prices of international crude oil, oil exports, global gold prices were selected as independent variables and government expenditure variable continued, ended with a statistically significant positive effect at 1% The oil exports have a positive impact but not significant statistically, while global crude oil prices Downgrade negative and statistically significant coefficient.
