The current study aims at identifying the level of university students’ awareness about citizenship values, which is about the level of students' awareness of the values of belonging, rights, duties, social and political participation at M’sila University.

Accordingly, this study aims to investigate a number of research questions: 1_ What is the level of awareness about belonging values among the selected sample of university students? 2_ What is the level of awareness about rights and duties values among the selected sample of university students? 3_ What is the level of awareness about social and political participation values among the selected sample of university students? This study is built on three hypotheses centered around: 1_ The Level of awareness about belonging values among the selected sample of university students is medium.

2_ The level of awareness about rights and duties values of among the selected sample of university students is medium.

3_ The level of awareness about social and political participation values among the selected sample of university students is medium.

The importance of the research lies, on the one hand, in the importance of the topic it deals with and, on the other hand, in the type of problems it raises for scrutiny.

Accordingly it is possible to limit the importance of our research to two aspects: theoretical and applied.

The theoretical aspect is represented the importance of citizenship values that seek to realize the values of belonging, duties, rights and social and political participation.

We tackled the main research objectives and its basic concepts as well as the related literature to the subject of the study.

Then we moved to field study procedures, in which we discussed; the selection of the most suitable method for the study, the selection of a random sample of (200) students, the study’s time (academic year 2014_2015) and location frameworks.

After developing the questionnaire and calculating its validity and reliability, it was used with the sample of the study.

A number of statistical methods were used to test the hypotheses.

The following are the study findings: 1_ The level of awareness about citizenship values among university students is medium 2_ The level of awareness about belonging values among university students is medium.

3_ The level of awareness about rights and duties values of among university students is medium.

3_ The level of awareness about social and political participation values among of university students is medium.
