With the advent of the colonial wave, Sufism also played a major role in the resistance, including Amir Abdelkader (1808-1883), who began his life as a mystic, and as a warrior of French colonialism, also a humane reformer and advocate for peace and the values of tolerance and dialogue.

We wanted to show through this paper the dimensions of the human mysticism of Prince Abdul Qadir, And that's compared to another man whose sufisme experience had an impact on his humane values: Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) who resisted British colonialism with peace and forgiveness.
