The concept of modernism has pushed critics to invest in the science of linguistics and literary criticism in order to approach the poetic text in a way that allows to define the literariness of discourse and the focus of the poetic act in every creative text.

Semiotics seems to be a method that bestows upon the critic wider space for thinking and more freedom for analysis, and charges him with more responsibility because it requires understanding, vision and interpretation.

This is because the concept of semiotics is one of the most prominent methodological concepts that gave birth to modern approaches, and it is linked to the methodological theory of semiotics.

It has equally been the subject of modern lessons of criticism, provided them with new ways of reading, and more profound, multiple and divergent unlikeness, worked on the intensity of the text, the profoundness of its layers, the richness of its thresholds and meaning, and the problem of its discourse.

This study is supposed to expose the ability of the Semiotic Method to approach the Arab contemporary poetic text by semoiotically reading the poetry of Badr Shaker Siyab on the basis that the analysis goes with the semiotics of communication, reading with semiotics of significance, and repetition with semiotics of culture proceeding to semantic and descriptive interpretation..
