The Role Of Jordan Sport Media On National Unity and It's Ways of Development.

This study aimed at identifying roles of the Jordanian sports media on the national unity and means of developing them.

The researchers used the descriptive method of the survey through preparing Al-Harbi questionnaire of (2016).

The study tool, which was applied on a sample of (96) media specialists, consisted of (43) items distributed on four fields: first dimension (realizing the reality of the sports media), second field (the role of the sports media in eliminating the sports bigotry), third dimension (the role played by the social media means as one of the sports media in threatening the national unity), and fourth dimension (the mechanisms of developing the roles of the sports media in strengthening the national unity).

The results showed that the sports media is considered a means of showing the importance and role of sport in all the aspects of people and society and contributing in strengthening the social cohesion through eliminating anything that might harm the national unity and social harmony.

The study also showed that the miss-use of the social media means as a part of the system of sports media plays a negative role in maintaining the national unity, the media specialists with a large experience and a high level of education realize that the negative behaviors of some media specialists arouse people thus threatening the national unity and that punishments are important for the media specialists arousing people, which would aim for being credible and committed to the ethical system towards their professional mission.

The study recommended showing commitment to the ethics of the sports media profession.
