This research is considered a rich poetic field for those who look for the secret of aesthetics in the poetic text.

Does this secret lie in the rhythmic properties of the text, in its structures, its references or in the combination of all elements? This research aims at shedding some light on the Romantic text in order to find out about its poeticism.

Poeticism is expression that has been addressed by a lot of critical theories, but on the level of practice, it still needs further application to explore literary texts with a view to determining the poetic laws that make them literary or poetic.

So, the researcher will attempt to study the poeticism of a modern Syrian romantic text and explore its phonological, structural and semantic properties, so as to ultimately reveal its aesthetic dimensions.

The study is divided into: an introduction including definitions of poeticism and Romanticism, a practical section studying “the bewitched image” as the subject of the analytical process, and an appendix containing collected poems by Omar Abu Qous and his biography.
