The comprehensiveness of Islam is interpreted in its rules of the relationship of humankind to the entire world, and among these rules the connection of man to animals.

There are several legal texts that show the necessity of kindness to animal and the prohibition of injustice against it, and this does not contradict with the purpose of the creation of animal itself which is for the interest of humankind.

The issue of conducting scientific experiments on animal has been raised because of confusion in the weighing between the preservation of benefits and the prevention of harms.

This study deals with the subject matter of experimental animals from Fiqh point of view, by focusing on the juristic rules which driven from legal evidences and scientific findings.

This study aims to achieve three goals, firstly: to confirm the liveliness of the Islamic jurisprudence in its relationship with the current issues and to strengthen the connection between it and modern science, secondly: to clarify the juristic rules and regulations on the issue of conducting scientific experiments on animal, thirdly: to come out with the guidelines for conducting scientific experiments on animal.

This study relies on three methods, first: inductive method which is used in collecting related data from the primary sources, second: analytical method which is used in dealing with the collected data based on Islamic view and scientific approach, third: critical method which is used in reviewing and correcting the information studied through the fundamentals of Shari'a and its objectives and modern sciences.

The study consists of three chapters, the first chapter deals with the Fiqh view of this issue, the second chapter studies the Fiqh analysis of this issue, and the third chapter touches the Fiqh guidelines in this issue, whereas the conclusion mentions the most important outcome of this study.
