The concept of governance has been recently the major concern of all interested parties: governments, related parties as well as the development organisms.
Algeria like other developing countries is supposed to promote good governance in banking and financial institutions in order to guaranty the development of national economy.
We try in this paper to show the impact of good banking governance on the economic development in Algeria.

Depuis quelques années, la notion de gouvernance est au centre des préoccupations des gouvernants et des gouvernés, ainsi que les organismes au service du développement.
L’Algérie, comme tous les Etats des pays en développement, est censée promouvoir la bonne gouvernance des institutions bancaires et financières pour assurer le développement de l’économie nationale.
Nous nous proposons dans cet article de montrer la pertinence de la bonne gouvernance bancaire pour le développement économique en Algérie.
