Our present time is characterized by rapid change as result of the change in values and environmental effects some of which is constantly resisted by man while coped with others.

Undesirable behaviours have an impact on the structure of solid society to such an extent that its edifice is shaken and infiltrated by machiavellism which in its turn plays an important role in threatening this society.

This is on the one hand, while on the other the high degree of awareness and the conscientiousness reduce this threat and lead to stability in a time when material things overshadow morals The study aims, therefore, at the following: *The level of Machiavellian behaviour for university students.

*Differences in the level of Machiavellian behaviour according to sex variant *The level of conscientiousness of university students *Differences in the level of conscientiousness according to sex variant.

*The close inseparable relation between the Machiavellian behaviour and conscientiousness of university students.

To arrive at this, the Machiavellian and conscientiousness standards have both been adopted.

After subjecting them to statistical analysis and arriving at their psychometric characteristics, they are applied to a sample of 400 male and female syudents from Qadisiya university.

Results have proved the existence of Machiavellian behaviour among students in varying degree in favour of male students.

There is also weakness in the level of conscientiousness.

The study has confirmed that there is an opposite relationship between Machiavellian behaviour and conscientiousness among university students.

Some recommendation and suggestions have been spelled out upon concluding the study.
