The cover of any book is an accompanying tool to the title and it is a linguistic speech which contains a message within that differs in interpretation from one to another.

This image is so important that it may be sufficient to direct the reader to what is in the text.

It "carries a rhetorical dimension that expresses its source, culture of its environment and creator, which enables it to preserve some of its communicative value that makes it a receptive content.

Hence, this study focuses on analyzing the cover and the title, as they are the first things that can catch the eye of the reader, and highlight the relationship of the cover with the text in terms of harmony and homogeneity, by analyzing the titles of chapters / sections and the whole corpus, through applying on the novel “Ta’a el khajal” by Fadela FAROUK..
