This article is from "Mercedece Del Amo": a Spanish Academician from ,the University of Granada She has tried in this article to study how Spanish academics are interested in .contemporary Arabic literature, and how much they are interested in Andalusian literature The researcher analyzed Arabist efforts in the twentieth century through the translation of modern Arabic literature.

In the light of Arab-Spanish relations, she also exposed their .different motives for studying Arabic literature Then the researcher explained how the literary Arabic texts received by the Spanish Universities, from PhD theses and license dissertations, and she acknowledged that the translation Arabic literature is growing, While the Arab world contemporary world is undergoing radical and rapid changes, concluding by listing the list of Arabic literary works .translated into Spanish The importance of this article is manifested in the manner of receiving the Other .contemporary Arab literature, and the motives which determine this reception
