Praise be to Allaah, Who created and proportioned, Who blessed and guided, Who expanded our chests to contain Islam, and Who has endeared knowledge to us and made it pleasing in our hearts.

Then the prayer and peace be upon the best teacher, the Prophet Muhammad, His family, companions, and whoever followed His path.

After an enjoying journey throughout the Holy Quran, its beautiful rhetorical and linguistic images in general, and its exegetical denotations in particular, and between the folds of Al-Iltifat[Shifting from one style to another style, while the two different styles refer to the same reference] in the Holy Quran in the light of the difference of the methods of Quranic recitation, and before the ink dried and the pens were lifted, I have written the abstract of this research entitled, “Al-Iltifat[Style Shifting] in the Light of the Difference of the Methods of Quranic Recitation and its Exegetical Denotations).

In the first section, I addressed the definition of the Holy Quran and its methods of recitation as that is the field of the research and the topic of its study.

Then, I started the second section by the definition of Al- Iltifat and the shifting from the second person pronouns to the third person pronouns and to the first person pronouns and vice versa.

After that, I briefly touched upon the divisions of Al-Iltifat, its names, and its formulas.

All of that was a preface and an entry to the core of the research In the third section, I generally studied Al-Iltifat, how it influences the methods of recitation and how it is influenced by them.

I also investigated its exegetical denotations, its forms, and its role in expanding the meaning, releasing the restricted meaning, and restraining the unrestricted meaning.

Then in the fourth section, I mentioned some examples of the forms of Al-Iltifat, its impact on the methods of Quranic recitation, the way of the Holy Quran in generalizing and particularizing, and the impact of that on Quran exegesis.

In the fifth and last section, I tackled the impact of Al-Iltifat and its denotations on the integration of the meanings of the methods of Quranic recitations.

I also addressed the impact of Al-Iltifat on directing some methods of Quranic recitation and on solving the issues faced by some of the exegetists and rhetoric scientists, and I discussed the impact of such on the inimitability of the Holy Quran and its rhetoric.
