Beersheba District/Negev is seeing a third major wave of Zionist settlement whose beginning can be traced to 2005 with the Israeli government's adoption of the Negev Development Plan.

The expected results of this plan continue to have tangible effects on the Beersheba region, particularly its Palestinian inhabitants.

This study discusses the old-new Israeli policies and practices and presents their historical links, focusing on the legal instruments used by Israel to realise its aims of Judaisation.

It shows that Israeli resources available for demolition and eviction are set to increase, and the violence deployed will rise with them, increasing the chances of a violent confrontation in the coming years – specifically with the growth in the power of the extreme Israeli right and its institutions in order to settle, which work under the growing religious Zionist ideology.
