The purpose of this work is to constitute a comprehensive analysis of the practices and characteristics of inflation targeting as carried out by central banks that have opted for this choice in terms of monetary policy strategy.
On the other hand, it reports that at the time of the adoption of inflation targeting, none of the central banks in the emerging and developing countries fully met the theoretical preconditions.
In this regard, a learning process, through the practices of former banks, was needed and that this process continued for many years after the start of the adoption of inflation targeting
الملخص FRE
L’objectif de ce travail est de présenter une analyse exhaustive des pratiques et caractéristiques du ciblage d’inflation telles quelles ont été réalisées par les banques centrales qui ont opté pour ce choix en matière de stratégie de politique monétaire.
D’autre part, il rend compte du fait qu’au moment de l'adoption du ciblage d’inflation, aucune des banques centrales des pays émergents et en développement ne remplissaient pleinement les conditions théoriques préalables.
A cet égard, un processus d’apprentissage, à travers des pratiques d'anciennes banques, était nécessaire et que ce processus a continué pendant de nombreuses années après le démarrage de l’adoption du ciblage d’inflation
