The general aim of this study is to know the nature of the relationship between self-esteem and the anxiety of sport competition among football players .we relied on the descriptive approach, our research included that on a sample of football players of the second regional division with 80 players.

Depending on the general problematic: Is it possible that there is a relationship-ship between self-esteem and the anxiety of sport competition among football players ?, the general hypnosis formed as "" There is a relationship between them among football players "".

On our study we relied on many statistical appriaches which are: percentage, average Arithmetic, standard deviation Pearson correlation, Guatman style and statistical method.

These approaches are bound by the temporal spatial framework.The study was conducted in the state of Laghouat for the school year 2012/213n addition to that, we also relied on data collection tools and its the scale of anxiety of sport conpetition for Martinez and translated into Arabic by (Oussama Kamel Rateb).

By the end, we have reached the following results: there is a high competition of anxiety and also the relationship of the two variables was in one direction which is positive that's mean the more self- esteem the more anxiety of competition among football players and the relaWithin the psychological of the player Keywords: self-esteem-competition anxiety-football.
