This study aims to measure the environmental performance indicators in the Algerian oil institutions in general and the national company Sonatrach in particular, through studying one of its units: the crude processing unit south (UTBS) at the level of Hassi Masoud, Algeria.

The study was based on a set of environmental and financial indicators to measure the environmental performance of the institution study, namely: (Gaseous Emission Index, Resource and Energy Consumption Index, Waste Management Index, Environment Index, Environmental Activity Index, Environmental Cost Index, Environmental investments) during the period from 2011 to 2016.

The tools used for the analysis and forecasting methods were used to analyze the indicators of the study.

The study concluded in the descriptive part, a decrease in environmental costs with an increase in turnover due to the decrease in the total fees of taxes during the study period, especially as the institution seeks to use clean technologies, and using the method of principal components analysis (PCA), we found that the study variables can be divided into three groups, each of which is a specific system The econometric part, using exponential smoothing methods (HOLT-WINTERS) for forecasting, we also divided the variables into three groups according to the expected general trend of forecasting, showing the first group with a negative direction (declines), the second group with positive trend group (decreasing) and a third group with mixed trend, and include Only one variable which is environmental costs.
