Improving the quality of higher education has become an important goal for all higher education institutions that aspire to leadership and excellence, because the great challenge they face now and in the future is no longer their ability to provide education to all those wishing to enroll in their various programs, Its ability to provide a quality educational service that meets the specifications of the distinguished graduate, which meets the needs of the community and the labor market and contributes to the achievement of development, which led them to apply the concepts of quality and systems to ensure the quality of its academic programs and its outputs.

In this study, we discussed the concepts of quality, service and quality of service as an entry point to quality and quality assurance in higher education and their concepts, in addition to addressing the objectives, the importance and the requirements of quality assurance, the latter is based on principles and goes through several stages to be applied in educational institutions Higher as it faces and constraints as well as it is based on a set of axes and dimensions.
