This article focuses on the emergence of the Jewish mystical figure Ephraïm Aln' Koua in the poetic story Moi, ton enfant, Ephraïm of Mohammed Souheïl DIB.

We wonder about the putting into discourse of this proper name, in other words, on image (s) which it tends to suggest in the story by registering us as a part of the theory of the signifiance supported by Paul Siblot.

This last considers the proper name as a sign rich in discursive meaning.

The present study is based on the description and analysis of semantic functioning of this proper name in aforementioned story.
