الملخص الإنجليزي

The present research aims at identifying the level of : 1- The executive functions at university students.

2- The executive functions at university students according to gender variable(males, females).

3- The executive functions at university students according to specialization variable (scientific, humanitarian).

4- The executive functions at university students according to class variable (First, Fourth).

To achieve the aims, the researchers build a scale to measure executive functions consists of (80) items attributed to (8) fields (inhibition, initiation, shifting, planning, organization of materials, monitoring, working memory and emotional stability), each field has (10) items and each item has five alternatives (always, , mostly, occasionally, little or seldom).

The stability and the reliability of the scale are achieved.

The correlative factor for the scale items with the total degree for the scale and the total degree for each field are achieved.

The stability of scale is accounted by means of retesting amounted (0.85) and alpha-cronbach method amounted (0.88).

Then, the scale is applied to random sample of students University of Samaraa on (first and fourth stages) reached (400) students.

The statements are treated statistically.

The results show the students of the University of Samaraa have high level of executive functions and there are no statistically significant differences in executive functions according to the variables gender and specialization, but there are statistically significant differences in executive functions according to the class variable in favor of fourth stage.

Researchers reached a number of recommendations and proposals.
