This study addresses the political role taken by Aref Al-Aref in the Emirate of Transjordan through his personal papers (1926-1929 AD) which form a significant documentary source for the study of the history of Emirate of Transjordan; since the writer of the papers was assuming the position of Secretary-General in the Arab Levant Government, and knowledgeable on the historical events he narrated.

The study reviewed the biography of Aref-AI-Arcf, and his papers in terms of title, description, historical value, and resources on which the author depended on.

The study also casts light on the political effort of Aref- Al-Aref in the Emirate of Transjordan by revealing his active role in the establishment ot Ansar AJ- Haq Party, and his attitude towards the Great Syrian Revolt; Al-Ramadi Conference held in 1927 between Iraq and Emirate of Transjordan to eliminate cross-border tribal conflicts; Rotenberg Scheme, and Anglo- Transiordan Treaty of 1928 AD.
