الملخص EN

The aim of this study is to : 1-discover the probe thinking of the study subjects.

2-know the differences they have coefficient correlation in the variable of the probe thinking according to the following variables : a- sex (male , female).

b- specialization ( h humanitarian , scientific).

the researchers used the descriptive research method because it is the appropriate method to achieve the research objectives.

the sample consisted of(400) students who were selected by random class method from the students of the university of Basra distributed to 8 faculties of humanities and scientific disciplines.

in addition to the study of the literature and previous studies related to the subject of the research, the researchers built a tool to measure the thinking of saber through the adoption of the theory (processing and processing information in thinking) as a theoretical basis for building the scale, of the paragraphs according to the theory adopted and the definition of thinking saber, and reached (46) paragraph, and found the characteristics of the psychometric to him, has been verified (the honesty of the apparent, and the validity of the building and the strength of excellence, and stability) of the measure of thinking saber, the researchers used the appropriate statistical and arithmetic means to achieve objectives of the study.

the current research yielded the following results1-the research sample enjoys a high level of thinking.

2-there are differences in thinking saber in sex and in favor of males according to the specialization of the study for the benefit of the human.

the research came out with a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
