This research studies the English Orientalist, Thomas Arnold, and his significant role in serving the British colonizer who colonized the Islamic India for decades.

This is done through studying the orientalist’s administrative and academic work.

His book Alkhilaafa (The Caliphate) is his masterpiece, in which he criticizes some of the foreign and Islamic references, because he found some defects in them.

One of these defects is proclaiming that the Caliphate in Islamic thought is a tyrannizing system invented by Fakihs, and that the Prophet (Mohammed, PBUH) intends to marginalize the Caliphate in favor of Abu Bakr’s by three Sahabis.
