It is not possible to study the phenomenon of the informal economy without measuring it, and this is to know the strength of its impact on many levels.

However, methods to measuring the informal economy are both diverse and relative, depending on the nature of economic phenomena related to other social, legal, political and even psychological factors associated with human behavior.

Through our research paper we try to address the most important methods used to measure the phenomenon of the informal economy with the problematic of each one and then provide global statistics on this phenomenon.
