The study aimed to investigate the reality of social responsibility in Palestinian Universities, and the level of sustainable development and its obstacles.

The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach in his study.

The study concluded to a set of results, the most important are: The University's mission and objectives are in line with the goals and values of the society,it respects the customs and traditions of the community and participate in voluntary work to serve the community, and that there is satisfaction with the salaries of workers and a moderate degree of responses of the respondents, while there is a union of employees defending their rights and a low degree of responses of respondents, There is a partnership between the university's research centers and the community institutions.

The study recommended several recommendations, most prominent: The need to work on adjusting the salaries of employees in accordance with the economic conditions of the Palestinian people, and to create a union of employees to defend their rights.

Providing incentives in the university to serve the community, and interest in guiding students towards social responsibility, and awareness of the importance of sustainable development through the university's website.

The University should support programs and plans that reduce poverty in the society and encourage staff to support awareness campaigns for sustainable development.
