In the past two decades, the international community has taken a number of decisive initiatives to end impunity for violations against children.The Rome Statute of 1998 recognized: "Forced or voluntary recruitment and use of children under the age of fifteen as combatants is a war crime." Since its entry into force, this category has received special protection by the International Criminal Court, which has made crimes against civilians and children in particular one of the most serious crimes threatening world peace and security, and given them special protection in time of war.

The criminalization of crimes against children during armed conflict has been clearly reflected in the indictments of the International Criminal Court, which we will try to highlight through this paper, in which we address the contribution of the International Criminal Court.
