The development of science and its flourishment was and remains connected to its access to others; that is why, it is said that knowledge is power, and communication is its fuel.

Scientific communication is the basis of scientific activity as it attempts at transmitting widely the results of research works between the community of researchers, so that knowledge will not be reserved just to a specific category of people.

One can notice that scientific communication has evolved with the appearance of communication technologies and information networks above all the Internet.

A new model of communication known as scientific electronic or digital communication is now available and attracts a great number of scientists and researchers who attempt, on the one hand, to produce and share knowledge, and, on the other hand, to add value and efficiency to scientific research.

That can be observed through the numerous benefits and the great positive factors that are offered in contrast to the problems and the negative aspects facing traditional scientific communication.

This study attempts to identify the most important roles played by scientific electronic communication in producing knowledge, in addition to the impacts of the digital environment on the typology of scientific communication In the academic space
