The aim of the study was to know the reality electronic information systems; and to clarify the role of administrative decision-making in the university, and to indicate the relationship between the organizational level of the use of information systems necessary for making administrative decisionsat the university.

The researcher followed the descriptive approach.

The researcher relied on the questionnaire in the collection of data in addition to the different sources.

The teaching and administrative staff at Wasit University were approved as a general society for study.

The sample of the study was 65 teaching and administrative staff, about 10% of the total.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: 1.

At the level of information adequacy, it was found that the overall mathematical mean of this axis was 3.3, which was within a somewhat agreed option.

The gap reached 34.08, which is a large gap between the reality and the hope to reach it.

At the level of coverage and adequacy, it became clear that the total mathematical mean of this axis was 3.1, which was within a somewhat agreed option and the gap was 37.66, which is a large gap between the reality and thehope to reach it.The study reached a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: 1.

Building information systems enables confidence in decision-making and provides accurate, accurate, clear and error-free information that can be easily understood, contains non-duplicate reports, charts and lists a certain order so that they are easily understood and at a level of speed that does not contradict 2.

Finding the appropriate mechanism for the work of the information system in a comprehensive way to all possible alternatives to solutions and a smooth flow of data and information and provides the necessary statistics in the different areas needed by the institution for decision-making.
