أثر استراتيجية العلم التعاوني في التحصيل الأكاديمي لمادة الفيزياء و الاتجاهات نحوها لدى طلبة الصف التاسع الأساسي في مدارس لواء بني كنانة في الأردن

The aim of this study was to identify the effect of cooperative learning strategy on academic achievement of physics and attitudes towards it among 9th grade students in Bani Kinana directorate in Jordan.

The sample of the study consisted of (96) 9th grade students (48 male, 48 Female) distributed requaly into 4 classes in two schools (2 classes for males and 2 classes for females with 24 students in every class), this sample divided randomly into two groups: an experimental group (1 male class + 1 female class) that studied one chapter in physics for the first semester (Force and Motion laws) by using cooperative learning strategy.

While the other two classes (1 male class + 1 female class) were the control group that studied the same unit by the traditional method.

The results of the study showed that: The students who studied through cooperative learning strategy were better in academic achievement and in attitudes towards physics than those who studied through the traditional method with a significant difference (α = 0.05).

There were no significant differences in academic achievement and attitudes towards physics due to the gender of students or the reaction between gender and method of teaching.

Accordingly, the study recommended encouraging teachers of physics to teach their students by using the cooperative strategy, and invite researchers to conduct more studies with more samples in different grades.
