The decision-making process in general and the strategic decision-making process in particular are topics that are worthy of research and study, both old and new.

It is also a complex and controversial subject between researchers and management.

Although research in the area of strategic decision-making developed in the 1980s and 1990s in both its theoretical and empirical aspects, it is always the subject of the hour.

So we aim through this research to analyze the theoretical foundations of strategic decision-making approaches, namely: rational approach, bounded rationality, political approach, progressive approach, intuitive approach, and the entrance of the litter box.

In order to analyze the hypotheses and theoretical suggestions for each approach, we will review and analyze the criticisms presented to each input by the researchers and the decision-makers in order to identify and determine the most appropriate approach to strategic decision making and the extent of integration between these different approaches.
