الملخص الإنجليزي

The goal of this thesis is to follow the method of negation in the poetry of Rashid Hussein in his different written work to match the words of the ancient Arabic in the age of linguistic protest as shown through the Arabic ancient grammatical works.

This research requires the use of the method of analytical description using the statistical method to examine the extent of the use of the phenomenon of language in the poetry of Rashid Hussein as it is viewed as the language of poetry in contemporary.

This thesis dealt with the two types of negation in Hussain’s methods of writing, the explicit and the implicit.

This study contains two units.

The first unit deals with the frank negation with different time tools: the first one is the past tense ones with ( لم and لمم ) where “ لم ” precedes the present tense to negate it and change it into a continuous past tense, and where “ لمم ” is rarely used to negate the past tense that is connected to the present tense.The second is “ الحم ” and its tools: “لا”, “ لمس ”, “ انم ”, “لات ”, and “ مم ”, where “لا” precedes both the nominal sentence, the sentence that starts with a noun, and the action sentence, sentence that starts with an action or a verb.

When it precedes the nominal sentence, it only deals with the undefined nouns and it, in the form “ لا يفعم ”, does its intended job perfectly where it negates “ الحم ” and the simple present.Now, the tool: “ مم ” was used in the form “ لم يفعم ”, with the past tense connecting to the present tense, whereas, the poets use of, “ مم ” in the place of “ لمس ”, was not clear.
