The main subject of this study is the role of local communities in the achievement of sustainable environmental development and the management of household waste as a model.

after the study of the environment and its relationship to pollution through the rooting of the concept of pollution and control of the term waste in order to end to the centre of this study household waste as a model.

it has been focused on the theoretical aspect of local communities in order to reach their assigned roles according to the laws and decrees in terms of the household waste and show their plans and management processes and how to treat them as legal approach.

the study has also keen to show a point of convergence between the environment and the economy through the process of recycling as a model to create a real rupture with the previous methods of waste management and to change concepts from considering domestic waste as environmental damage to being considered as wealth and raw material to achieve sustainable development as an economic approach.
