The right of access to information is considered as a foundation that serves to activate the principle of the participation of citizens in the management of their local affairs at the level of communal people's assemblies.

To this end, the present research aims to shed light on the process of realization of the right of access to information in national law, and the limits that can hinder its implementation in the context of the application of the approach to participatory democracy at the level of communal people's assemblies.
