This study discusses one of the most prominent issues of the conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis regarding the settlements.

Israel's continued confiscation of land and the building of settlements in the Palestinian territories are in defiance of the resolutions of international legitimacy, most recently Security Council resolution 2334 of 2016, The establishment of settlements and the transfer of the inhabitants of the occupying state to the occupied territory are incompatible with international principles and conventions.

Israeli settlements are a continuing war crime under the Rome Statute ofthe International Criminal Court (ICC).

Israel has international responsibility for the crime of settlements, which calls for an end to illegal acts, repair of the damage and bringing its members to justice for establishing settlements in the occupied territories.
