This study aims to highlight the reality of Takaful insurance in the Algerian insurance market, in reference to the experience of SALAMA Algerian insurance as the only company that carries out this type of activity, this formula is represented as a basis for the development of the Algerian insurance system, and with the issuance of law 06-04, which recognises separating the insurance of persons activity from the insurance of damage activity in two separate entities, SALAMA insurance company Algeria starts dealing only with the products of the insurance of damage branch.

The study shows also the occupation of the second place by this company, among private companies in terms of growth for four consecutive years, and the seventh salary among the total insurance companies active in the market in terms of production and compensation volume for the year 2016, and the most important challenge that faces the company is its subordination to commercial insurance law which is not compatible with its Islamic business and products, also its Takaful aim, because many legal and investments differences exists.
