the consensual democracy embodied a suitable regime for plural societies compared to representative democracy.

It provides a balance between the various vectors of the plural society, insuring political stability and the participation of minorities, non-domination the majority.

Since Lebanon is deemed to be a plural society due to the presence of a multitude of confessions, it has sought to make the principles of the consensual regime prevail on those of the majority System.

This study seeks to answer the following problematic: How effective is consensual democracy as a mechanism for resolving internal conflicts?
