In this study, we examine the Competition Council as a body that seeks to protect and promote competition in its various dimensions by highlighting the legal provisions governing the performance of this body.

Trying to address the various aspects related to it either in theory or in practice.

We concluded that the legal vision of the Competition Council puts it in the category of independent administrative bodies, giving it special roles, including the advisory dimension and the deterrent dimension.

However, in practice, the performance of the Council has proved inadequate, hence the limitations of the Competition Council in the field of protection and promotion of competition.
