Midlife crisis is consider one of developmental crisis in human Lives , this term was originally coined by " Elliot jaques " 1965 , who concluded that midlife people encountered a period of crisis which was triggered by the realization of their own mortality and change in time frame from time since birth to time left to live.

M idlife crisis related with Existential Anxiety a negative motive for behavior , the present research aimed to : 1-measures midlife crisis for university membership .

2-Acquaint the significance of differences between males and females in regard to midlife crisis .

3-Measures Existential Anxiety for university membership .

4-Acquaint the Significance of differences between Males and Females in regard to Existential Anxiety .

5-Acquaint to the relationship between Midlife Crisis and Existential Anxiety .

In order to achieve this goals , tow instruments used , the first is to measure midlife crisis it is ( shek 1996 ) scale in chine's society .

it is consist of (15 ) items , after translate this scale to Arabic ,the psychometric characteristics were found for this scale , item analysis , content validity ( face , logical ) and construct validity and reliability by alpha coefficient ( R= o.71) .

The second scale was existential anxiety scale for (Hafidh , 2006) , in this research we found face validity , construct validity , and reliability by alpha coefficient ( R= 0.91 ) .

The research result was found by administering the two scales on as sample consist of ( 155 ) males and females selected from university membership .

By using the suitable statistical methods such as : t- test , correlation ,the research result were as follows : 1- There were no midlife crisis for the sample of this research from university member ship .

2- There were no differences between males and females in regard to midlife crisis .

3- There were no existential anxiety for university membership.

4- There were no differences between males and females in regard existential anxiety .

5- There are a positive relationship between midlife crisis and existential anxiety .

According to above results , number of recommendations and suggestions have presented .
