Digitization in the documentation institutions has become a technological necessity for the documentary institutions to adopt it, because it facilitates the performance of the tasks on the one hand and advanced information services on the other hand, the beneficiary can get the information and services without the hassle of movement and waiting.

Therefore, it has to maintain it in accordance with a comprehensive plan built on strategies to save digital information and information flow policies and protection against loss in order to avoid duplication of efforts and loss of information over time due to technological obsolescence or fragility of storage media, and the information institutions are facing a major challenge in how to maintain their digital information in the midst of technological development.

In this study, we will attempt to determine the extent to which the documentation institutions adopted for digitalization projects rely on digital conservation strategies to ensure that their information and services are available over the long term, by studying the application of the digital library at Emir Abdelkader University for Islamic Sciences, to save their digital content and ensure that it is available to beneficiaries in the long term.
