Open data au Maroc : état des lieux et perspectives à la lumière de l’adoption de la loi 31-13 et de l’adhésion du Maroc à l’OGP

Growing open government data (OGD) initiatives are offering increased monetary and non-monetary benefits for various stakeholders, including governments, corporations, tech startups, civil society organizations and citizens.

These benefits include conforming to regulatory-driven compliance, increased transparency, increased commercial and social opportunities for innovation and growth.

A pluralist network of actors around the world is working to expand the availability of open government data by establishing the legal foundations and leveraging the technical capacity of public departments and agencies in different countries.

The current context of Morocco marked by the adoption of Law 31-13 on the right to access to information and Morocco’s membership in the OGP is very suitable to develop an effective and efficient national open data strategy.

The aim of this paper is to depict the state of the art and the perspectives in the light of the adoption, in February 2018, of Law 31-13 and Morocco’s recent membership in the OGP in April 2018.
