This study shed light on Ibn Jaljal, (377 A.H - 994 A.D), great historian who is one of the Andalusian writers in Andulus.

Since, they left a cultural and scientific impact and heritage in all fields of knowledge.

He had managed to present a brilliant image concerning the medical movement in Andalusia by giving an important knowledge and detail about the famous physicians at that time, through his book (Tabakat Al- Ateibaa and Hukama), as well as he had mentioned their medical works and the most important drugs that treated diseases in Andalusia.

This medical and scientific production was as a manifestation of the personality of the Islamic nation in terms of its development and progress.

It is important to note that the transport and mental sciences progress is an accurate evidence which indicates and refers to that great production.

In addition, Andalusians were interested in religion and the universe issues.

Not only the mental and different sciences gained that evolution but also, the medicine, which was known in the Umayyad period as a remarkable development, especially during the reign of the Caliph al-Nasir (300- 350A.H/ 912-961 A.D), which is considered to be one of the brightest centuries of the Umayyad state in Andalusia.
