الملخص EN

This study focuses on the concept of poetry in the old Arab Monetary.

It states that the traditional critics have dealt with the classical Arabic poetry in terms of determining its mechanism, and the characteristics inherent in such a mechanism.

Besides, the study clarified some of the issues related to poetry from the traditional critics' point of view until the beginning of the era of revival in the monetary era.

Moreover, the study illustrates those critics' statement on the features of the classical Arab poet or what might be available in his character of the influential factor that affect the structure of his literary work in an innovative way .

The researcher addressed, in the beginning of this study, the status of poetry among the ancient Arabs , in addition to what makes the poet distinct among the members of his tribe.

Then, the researcher tried to highlight the mechanism of Arabic poetry which represented through some elements, namely: pronunciation, rhythm, emotive meaning, rhyme , and then imagination , which produces technical picture affecting the audience.

After that some of the issues related to classical Arabic poetry were illustrated from the perspective of the traditional Arab critics, namely: quality standards of poetry, and poetry divisions.

Besides, the study clarified the characteristics that should be available in the poet or the writer of literary works.

These characteristics should have an impact on the building of his literary personal.

These characteristics include : talent, intelligence, narration , literary expertise , wide knowledge, and preserving some of the selective features of the ancient poets, and imitating them.

Finally the study come up with some of the findings concerning the issue in question.
