Communicator's attitude toward the merger project in the press institutions

The study aims to analyze and characterize the phenomenon of mergers within journalistic institutions, and to identify the impact of the application of mergers policies between press entities on the nature of the content presented in the media that apply these policies, and this study belongs to descriptive research and the researcher relied on the case study approach.

The researcher used the in-depth interview tools and the questionnaire tool to apply to an intentional sample for both the responsible leaders and the communicators in the press and media projects at the ONA Press and Media Foundation under study by (50) singles, by (7) singles for the leaders in charge of the media integration project, and (43) A single for the communicators of the editors, heads of departments and editors-in-chief, and the application was implemented during the years 2017, 2019, and the most important findings of the study:
1-The researchers agreed regarding the effect of the merger on the editorial policy and the content provided, and changing it so that the editor does not work in the traditional work environment, but rather to produce diversified content for more than one platform at the same time and to make news stories and field searches supported by visual factors, and thus the journalistic content is characterized by professionalism, collection Between depth in coverage and quality in production.

2-The responses of the two sides of the sample were similar with regard to the negatives of the project, which were represented in taking time to train and develop the performance and skills of editors and the difficulties of changing the new work culture according to the rules of integration and transformation from the traditional journalist to the comprehensive journalist.
