The research tackled the issue of poetic necessity, in terms of its linguistic and theological significance, and its most prominent manifestations represented in the increase, the shortage, the submission, the delay, the substitution, the change of one phase of parsing to another through simile, analogy, the feminization of the masculine, and what has been found in Ro'oba's poetry .

It also dealt with the grammarians' classification of necessity as good and bad, and the reasons beyond this classification.

Then it tackled the views of the grammarians regarding the poetic necessity showing their most prominent explicit views.

The researchers concluded that the poetic necessity is a stylistic trick invented by the grammarians to explain everything that violate their grammatical roles and they added that not every poetic necessity is actually a necessity since some of them can be accounted for grammatically in one way or another and some of them occurred in non-poetic contexts
