dzThis study tries to highlight a very important subject, the issue of Western Sahara and the credibility of the assumption that it is considered the main obstacle in achieving Maghreb unity, and to this end we have analyzed the different international decisions and attitudes toward the conflict in order to prove or to disqualify this hypothesis.

At the end of this study, we concluded that the interests of the major countries are the main obstacle in the face of activating the Maghreb Union.
