This study aims to highlight the extent to which the Algerian economy is affected by the oil crises and to know the reality of the policies pursued for the development of the agricultural sector in Algeria, where the study found that Algeria, despite pursuing modern development policies with the aim of achieving food sufficiency, but still far from achieving this The goal is due to structural imbalances in its agricultural sector, the decline in agricultural employment in favour of the rest of the economy, in addition to the poor application of new development policies in an effective manner, as evidenced by the marginality of agricultural exports and the inability to achieve self-sufficiency.
