Abstract EN

In this paper, we aim to prove that the spiritual void of Western civilization and its propensity for materialism were behind Alfred Hoffman's conversion to Islam through three main axes, in addition to an introduction and a conclusion that pointed out the most important results of the study.

Where the first axis dealt the ripeness of Christianity, while the second axis dealt with the emptiness of the of Western civilization principles, and we devoted the third axis is to discuss the problem of faith in Hoffman.

So we dismantled the problem by following an analytical and critical approach based on explaining and evaluating religious representations when Hoffman.

The study concluded that Hoffman's eagerness to seek the truth led him to put the Catholic religion into doubts and questions, and the research led to a demonstration of its ripeness, and then studied Communism and Modernity extensively, explaining the reasons for the failure of communism in the world, how the postmodernism in the West replaced modernity and its consequences and engagement in material and sensual pleasures, to conclude that the solution is in faith in God and in Islam as an alternative to the Western system and Christianity.
