recognize a new method in the technique of arm knitting, and impart the skills of arm knitting and make the best use of it to improve some psychomotor aspects of older women.

The importance of the study lies in enriching the field of home furnishings using arm knitting and contributing to solving some the motor and psychological problems of older women.

The current research has followed the descriptive-analytical method and the quasi-experimental method.

The tools of the research have included a note card of the performance of the older women related to the skilled aspect in their implementation for the basic stitch of the arm knitting, the performance appraisal scale (home furnishings) of the older women by using the basic stitch of the arm knitting, a questionnaire to measure the effectiveness of the arm knitting in order to improve the physical and psychological aspects by the psychologist and social worker and the doctor in the nursing home, and a scale to measure the older women's attitude to use the arm knitting to improve the psychomotor aspects and the research reached the following results:
There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of older women in the pre and post application of the performance note card, the performance appraisal scale, and the measure of the attitude of older women towards the use of arm knitting in favor of the post application.

The use of arm knitting achieves a degree of approval according to the opinions of the psychologist and social worker in the nursing home in improving the motor, psychological and social skills of older women, The research presented a set of findings and recommendations, through encouraging scientific research and fruitful studies participating in developing the capabilities of the elderly and motivating them in order to fulfill their social integration, and help them to lead an active life, and provide an environment in which the elderly can practice a social role in which he employs his competence, capabilities and experience.
