Abstract EN

The international criminal court (icc) issues judgments against persons in violation of international law, as a judicial organ specializing in specific offenses in accordance with its statute, and in accordance with the principles of international humanitarian law (the four geneva conventions 1949 and its additional protocols 1977), , in order to preserve international peace and security in the world.

However, this court finds it difficult to apply it on the ground, because of international custom which has positive and negative effects on the implementation of its jurisprudence and the application of international humanitarian law, in addition to the absence of international bodies to follow up the implementation of their judicial decisions ,great powers (united states of America) control its resolution.
